A trip out of school is always a welcome change from the normal routine! Last month our girls visited Laikipia University for an event that celebrated the 2025 International Day for Women and Girls in Science.

Along with students from about twenty other secondary schools, they heard from women who work in a range of scientific fields, on the theme of 'Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science'. There were also presentations from some of the students, including one of our girls who recited a poem.

It was a great chance for the students to learn, to be inspired and even to experience the university environment as they consider their options for future study and work.
