Conservation Through Art

30th July 2026

Art is not on the curriculum at Kisima, but we nevertheless have a number of students who are talented in this area. One such is Lewis from Form Four, who took first position in an art competition organised by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW).

The theme of the competition was 'Partnership in Conservation for a Healthy Planet and People', which Lewis illustrated by contrasting our actions that damage the environment with what we can do to conserve it.

Last month he and one teacher attended the prize-giving, which was part of AFEW's World Giraffe Day celebrations in Nairobi.
