We have already begun the process of looking for students for next year's Grade 10, with application forms having gone to the junior schools we work with. For some years we have received very few applications from schools in Marsabit, one of the counties in Kenya's arid north, so David travelled there to deliver the forms in person.

Over the course of four days he covered 1,500km and visited thirty schools, about ten of them being schools that we have not reached before. He was able to orient the staff on the focus of Kisima's work and the procedure for recommending pupils, who should be academically able but from disadvantaged backgrounds. The response was positive and now we wait to see what applications come in, along with those from the other counties that we work with in various parts of the country.
