Sponsor a Child

Sponsoring a Kisima School student is an immensely rewarding experience. You can exchange letters/emails and will receive an annual report on your student's progress. Kisima also warmly welcomes visitors to the school.

We ask for a minimum monthly donation of £30 (although the actual monthly cost for each student is £100, so any amount you feel able to give over £30 will be gratefully received). Students are allocated sponsors a few weeks into the academic year, which begins in early January, however there may be a small number of students available at times during the year due to individual sponsors' circumstances.

If you have any questions about sponsoring a student at Kisima school please get in touch at office@kisima.org.

You can Sponsor a Child by setting up a monthly Standing Order Authority online with your bank using the following details:

The Educational Frontier Trust
Sort Code: 20-94-48
Account Number: 50942413

You must also complete the following form:

I want to Gift Aid my donation/s this year and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to THE EDUCATIONAL FRONTIER TRUST (Charity no. 1087070).

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Please notify The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT) if you:

  • want to cancel this declaration.
  • change your name or home address.
  • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your SelfAssessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Kisima Friend

We would love you to become a 'Kisima Friend'.

Kisima Friends give regularly to Kisima, with their donations going towards the school's general funds rather than as sponsorship of an individual student. Some of our Friends are former sponsors who want to continue their regular giving but do not want to sponsor another student, while others begin their support for Kisima by becoming Friends.

As a Kisima Friend you will receive regular newsletters from Kisima School and updates on significant events.

You can become a Friend of Kisima by setting up a monthly Standing Order Authority online with your bank using the following details:

The Educational Frontier Trust
Sort Code: 20-94-48
Account Number: 50942413

Fundraising

The work of TEFT is made possible only through the support of individuals, churches, schools, businesses, and other groups. If you would like to get involved with raising much needed funds, either by joining a planned event, or running your own event, email us at office@kisima.org

Current fundraising events include: Climbing Mt Blanc, a 100km Sponsored Canal Walk and a School Fundraiser.

Past events have included: sponsored skydives, walking the South Downs Way, sponsored mini triathalon, cycling London to Paris, cycling ‘coast to coast', selling homemade jam, selling cream teas and organising a concert.

Most events are to raise money for much needed general funds to support Kisima School's annual running costs. Occasionally fundraising events are held to raise money for specific projects.

Volunteering

Kisima School has welcomed a number of ‘gap year' students and other volunteers across a wide age range! Volunteers can help in a number of ways at the school – teaching, organising sports activities, helping in the office, working on the school farm and with the many vegetable plots on the school site, helping with extra-curricular activities and school clubs. Placements, for individuals or small groups, range from a week to a term.
